Job Description:
As a Senior Linux and Windows System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the implementation, management, maintenance, and optimization of our systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- System Management: Oversee and maintain Linux and Windows Servers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, taking proactive measures to prevent potential issues.
- Security Implementation: Implement and manage security measures across Linux and Windows platforms, ensuring the highest levels of security and compliance.
- System Upgrades: Execute system upgrades and patches to maintain stability and security.
- Audit Systems: Implement audit-friendly systems to facilitate integration with SOC services.
- PKI Infrastructure: Implement and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems.
- Technical Support: Resolve technical issues and provide support to users and colleagues.
- Automation: Automate tasks and processes to enhance IT team efficiency.
- Documentation: Document system configurations and procedures for consistency and knowledge sharing.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in environments with strict security and compliance requirements.
Skills:
- Proficient in managing both Linux (eg, CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and Windows Server environments.
- Passionate about technology, digital security, and IT.
- Experience with logging and monitoring systems in conjunction with SOC.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (eg, VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of network protocols and configurations.
- Understanding of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python are advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to work on-site in Brussels for part of the week.
- Belgian nationality.
