IT Service Manager (Permanent)

Location: Manchester Country: UK Rate: £50k - £55k per annum
 

IT Service Manager

This role is largely field-based with regular travel around the UK

Up to £55,000 basic salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and dynamic IT Service Manager to join a leading consumer focused business, playing a pivotal role in improving IT service levels across the organisation.

The IT Service Manager will be responsible for identifying and delivering increased performance and reduced cost, liaising closely with key IT operations teams and building relationships with a wide variety of business stakeholders.

In addition, the IT Service Manager will also act as an escalation point for all IT issues and problems, ensuring that effective plans are put in place to reduce impact on the business, and creating strategies to avoid repeat incidents.

IT Service Manager - Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a dedicated IT Service Management or similar role
  • A technical background in IT Support or Service
  • Previous experience in an account management role is desirable
  • Strong ITIL framework experience, ideally with the relevant qualifications to match
  • Ability to work closely alongside both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working closely with suppliers to conduct service reviews and driving continual service improvement within IT operations
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-moving, commercial environment

This role will be largely field-based, and will require regular travel throughout the UK.
