Reporting & Analytics Specialist- Higher Education (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £500 - 600 per day
 

Reporting & Analytics Specialist X2- Higher Education-Business Intelligence

Reporting & Analytics Specialist X2 with experience of in configuring and managing Servers, designing and deploying platforms using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platforms, Tableau Servers and MS PowerBI services, is urgently required to work for our higher education client.

The Reporting & Analytics Specialist X2 will be responsible for supporting the implementation of new enterprise wide analytics platform configuring and managing Servers, designing and deploying platforms using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platforms, Tableau Servers and MS PowerBI services. Conducting workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, document requirements, and translate them into technical designs.

Reporting & Analytics Specialist X2- Higher Education-Business Intelligence- Essential Experience

  • Experience in configuring and managing Servers, designing and deploying platforms using SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence platforms, Tableau Servers and MS PowerBI services
  • Experience of designing and developing visualizations using relevant reporting platforms such as SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform, Tableau, and MS PowerBI.
  • Experience in architecture and administration, authentication, authorisation and security, content management, monitoring and auditing, installation and backup, and troubleshooting on reporting platforms (SAP BusinessObjects and MS PowerBI).
  • Knowledge of Azure Synapse and Data quality/cleansing techniques.
  • Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience of creating data models and structures using snowflake, Business Objects universes (UDT/IDT), Tableau and associated design principles standards, Datamodelling concepts, steps of reports production process.
  • Experience with unit testing and supporting stakeholders with user acceptance testing, including writing test plans.
  • Ability to conducting workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, document requirements, and translate them into technical designs.
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum) way of working, writing user stories and refining along.
  • Experience within an enterprise wide Higher Education or public sector environment

Reporting & Analytics Specialist X2- Higher Education-BI- Desirable Experience

  • Understanding of CI/CD process & ways of working including Git
  • Strong understanding ITIL process - Change mgmt. Release mgmt.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing.

The role is inside IR35 for an initial 6 month contract and will require 1-2 days per week on site per week in central London.
