IT Project Manager (Commodities Exchange) - London - FLEX Work (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £400.00 - £600.00 per day

Our client, a leading, Global Commodities Exchange is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager based in London (FLEX REMOTE/OFFICE 2-3 days per week) working within the Pre-Trade and Trading Technology team.

You will have key role to play in the team to support clients throughout the project implementation and software development life cycle. Responsible for facilitating requirements analysis and design, baselining project plans, keeping the client informed of project progress, tracking and communicating financial status, ensuring timeline schedule, managing change, mitigating risk, and working with the client to facilitate on time, on budget project deliveries.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Reporting into the Head of Pre-Trade and Trading Technology you will be responsible for the delivery of projects within the portfolio - trading, market data and corporate services (eg Finance, Web and Market Surveillance).
  • Run detailed plans across the critical path to deliverance of project objectives, engaging with partners and assessing requirements
  • All project artefacts maintained throughout the project life cycle (plans, resourcing profiles, cost plans, benefits schedules, RAID items, Change Requests and status reports) are up to date, accurate and follow group quality standards.
  • Define and report on project progress and achievement of project landmarks, regularly updating partners on project status
Skills required:
  • Technical Project Management with proven delivery experience
  • Business Knowledge - ideally Commodities or futures and forwards exchange experience
  • Excellent customer management skills, managing relationship directly with the business's technology, support & operations teams
  • Ability to build good working relationships with third parties eg networks engineers and change managers
  • Experience working in a highly regulated organisation
  • Experience working in an agile organisation
Preferred/Nice to have
  • Experience working successfully with dispersed teams in multiple locations
  • Product Owner (PO) or Scrum Master (SM) experience
  • Experience working with JIRA
