Security Analyst (Active SC Needed) (Contract)

Location: Hursley, Hampshire Country: UK Rate: £600 - £650 per day + Inside IR35
 

Gibbs Hybrid require a Security Analyst with a strong background in IAM for a government contract. You MUST hold an active SC clearance to be considered for this role and be willing to be onsite 5 days per week in Hursley. This is non-negotiable.
Location: Hursley, Hampshire (5 days per week onsite, non-negotiable) with occasional remote work
Duration: 6-12 months (Temporary Contract)
Rate: £650 per day (inside IR35, non-negotiable)
Clearance: SC clearance preferred

Job Role and Responsibilities:
* As a Security Consultant specialising in Identity & Access Management Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our Contactless Identification project.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Writing Risk Management and Accreditation Documentation Sets (RMADS) in accordance with government data standards.
* Appraising systems security against established government data standards and recommending appropriate risk profiles.
* Serving as the project security lead, attending cross-programme meetings, and ensuring that the end-to-end risk profile does not negatively impact our component.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Providing expert advice and guidance on identity and access management best practices and technologies.
* Conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our systems.
* Developing and implementing security controls and measures to safeguard sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
* Keeping abreast of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, and recommending proactive measures to address them.

Background and Overview:
* Contactless Identification aims to revolutionise the border control experience by implementing an automated system that enables seamless travel without compromising security.

Key points of the project include:
* Addressing the need for a world-leading automated border experience that increases throughput while maintaining security.
* Targeting the reduction of "fumble time" at eGates by implementing facial matching services for arrivals based on biometric images.
* Utilising Advance Passenger Information to search and retrieve biometric and biographic data from trusted identity records repositories.
* Passing biometric and biographic data to the Contactless Matcher sub-system for facial matching against expected arrivals' biometrics.
* Implementing fail-safe measures where any failure in the Contactless process results in passengers reverting to the traditional document-based identification process at the border.

Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in writing Risk Management and Accreditation Documentation Sets (RMADS).
* Strong background in identity and access management, with expertise in assessing systems security against government data standards.
* Previous experience serving as a security lead on large-scale projects or programmes.
* Excellent understanding of security best practices, standards, and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Active SC clearance is imperative
* Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous.

Note: This role is based in Hursley, Hampshire, with occasional remote work. Candidates must be able to work onsite for 5 days per week. SC clearance is preferred. The duration of the contract is 6-12 months.
