BI Developer - SQL Server/SSIS/SSAS/ETL/Data Warehousing - Lloyd's Market Insurance - OUTSIDE IR35

Our client, a leading Lloyd's Market Insurance firm based in the City of London, requires an experienced BI Developer to join their team to work on a number of Finance/Actuarial projects.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining data, ETL/DW solutions using SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS or related data/ETL platforms;
  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL Programming and dealing with large volumes of data;
  • Good conceptual knowledge of data models, storage, framework-based solutions, performance-oriented ETL and Business Intelligence solutions;
  • Sound understanding of best practices for data engineering, such as data governance, data quality, modelling, and performance;
  • Strong analytical skills in analysing complex problems and processes to propose suitable solutions;
  • Ability to understand business requirements and simplify processes and designs, quickly learn new systems, processes, and technology;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with IT and non-IT teams effectively;
  • Previous experience of working on Finance/Actuarial projects; and
  • Extensive insurance experience, P&C, Lloyd's Market insurance, London Market insurance.
