Programme Manager (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK
 

Programme Manager with eCommerce experience needed to join our team on a contract basis, here at VML Enterprise Solutions.

The opportunity:

Programme Manager required to deliver complex eCommerce solutions to leading brands. We require capable individual with significant project and programme management experience as well as experience in managing large scale accounts.

What you'll be doing:

You will be responsible for the management of several project managers to ensure project reporting is undertaken, collaborating on issue and risk management and escalating issues as required to the appropriate level.

Working in a fast paced and highly responsive environment the candidate must be a highly competent Programme Manager with excellent communication and decision-making skills.

What we want from you:

  • Proven Programme Management experience
  • Experience in software development Project Management experience, with experience eCommerce
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Accurate and detailed Programme level reporting
  • Experience in multi-vendor management
  • Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including programme budgeting, monitoring financials etc.) ideally in an eCommerce environment
  • Experience of overseeing 3rd parties.
  • Excellent risk management skills
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in an Agile environment
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks: Scrum and Kanban
  • Proven track record of working with organisations moving from Waterfall to Agile delivery approaches
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing and mentoring other project managers.
  • Strong time management & organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Good commercial knowledge, experience of contract negotiations would be advantageous.
  • Maintaining a resource plan showing resource commitment across the projects and keeping track of potential end dates in association with functional lead personnel
  • Keeping track of resource requests and managing fulfilment of these requests internally or externally as appropriate
  • Experience of managing multiple projects with some exposure to eCommerce and the retail industry
  • Exposure to medium to large scale fixed price project delivery
