Looking for Game Tester @ Reading, UK (Contract)

Location: Reading, Berkshire Country: UK Rate: £120/day inside IR35
 

We are seeking a Game Tester with deep understanding of the game Compliance space. You will be responsible for supporting end to end game testing prior to releasing on PlayStation and Nintendo. The ideal candidate must have advanced experience with Sony and Nintendo TRC and Lotcheck knowledge with extensive history of testing to these guidelines. Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance games testing;
  • Extensive Hands-on experience with Game Certification processes and testing through Sony, Nintendo - Mobile testing is a good to have
  • Proven expert knowledge of TRC and Nintendo Lotcheck requirements;
  • Exceptional performance in a previous testing role (testing, processes, reporting, technical skills);
  • Very good understanding of quality assurance processes;
  • Working knowledge and experience using bug tracking tools;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Very good at knowledge sharing and in training new team members
  • Strong analytical skills in reviewing all design-related information and interpreting areas of risk in testing
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to changing priorities
  • Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Advanced skill set for using Windows applications and Hardware as well as a demonstrated skillset with consoles
  • Knowledge and experience with tools for scheduling and tracking deliverables
  • Proficient with MS Office

Ideal candidate would also have:

  • Game accessibility guidelines familiarity and testing experience
  • ISTBQ
  • Experience in Automation

Scope of services:

  • Executes assigned tests accurately and sufficiently to have confidence in documented results;
  • Assigns testcases to the other team members
  • Reports results in a clear and concise manner into a bug database;
  • Regresses assigned issues and validates that the issues have been addressed correctly;
  • Escalates any issues preventing/impacting test execution;
  • Provides feedback regarding test approach and test case improvement.
