JOB SUMMARY:The purpose of this position is to provide an effective portal between St. Vincent Health System and the general public by providing information via the Internet. In addition, the position provides a vital communications and educational tool for St. Vincent employees via the Intranet, SVInsider. The position is responsible for daily updates and maintenance for the SVHS Internet websites and Intranet, including design and page building. Position also involves responsibilities associated with photography, videography and audio-visual support.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIAr:

1)Communications
a)Establishes and maintains a good rapport with all hospital personnel, applicants, vendors, visitors.
b)Relays information to other CD staff, obtaining input when necessary.
c)Tactfully handles difficult situations, remaining calm; refers to position of authority when needed.
d)Accurately distributes email (internal and web-based) to appropriate recipients.
e)Maintains the confidentiality of financial transactions (eg, Foundation donations and class registrations) from the website.
f)Accurately interprets and appropriately responds to customer requests and needs.

2)Internet
a)Create/design websites as assigned.
b)Create/design pages or sections as assigned.
c)Maintain websites on a daily basis.
d)Oversee eNewsletter publications and maintain their customizations.
e)Expedite press releases in a timely manner.
f)Expedite eCards for patients in a timely manner.
g)Work with VeriSign to maintain donations security.
h)Work closely with CHI and IT to keep the website operational and moving forward.
i)Report updates/project progress and monthly stats to department Director.

3)Intranet
a)Create/design pages or sections as needed.
b)Update on a daily basis (news, devotion, alerts, photos, etc.).
c)Maintain Mission Critical information (eg, policies and procedures, nutritional charts, etc.).
d)Provide online opportunities and tools for employees to communicate and/or register (e-Cards, Kudos, Grapevine, Educational Class, etc.).
e)Expedite eCards for employees in a timely manner.
4)Time Management & Attendance
a)Assures important forms/correspondence are emailed/distributed expeditiously.
b)Adheres to HR Policies and Procedures for Attendance, Tardiness, etc.
c)Accepts new assignments willingly and is flexible when important unscheduled assignments/projects arise which alter normal routine.
5)Other
a)Operate Main Auditorium audio/visual equipment for Leadership Forum.
b)Set up and operate audio/visual equipment for Board of Director s and leadership meetings.
c)Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:Associate degree or experience equivalent, bachelor s degree preferred. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Flash, ASP, SQL, HTML, Access, forms and graphics software (such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe PhotoShop).

Experience:Four years progressive training and experience with Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Flash, ASP, SQL, HTML, Access, forms and graphics software (such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe PhotoShop). Customer service experience and ability to multitask also required. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical Requirements: Performs tasks that require hand/eye coordination. Must be able to hear normal sounds with some background noise. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (to accommodate computer work). Must have ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Skills:Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Competency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Windows, and website development software (Dreamweaver, Flash, ASP, SQL, HTML, Access, forms and graphics software, such as Paint Shop Pro or Adobe PhotoShop). Able to deal effectively with frequent interruptions, pressing deadlines, and customers of all types. Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task (handle multiple projects at one time). Photography and video filming and editing skills also required.
