Operates multiple-position telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls and performs miscellaneous hospital telecommunication and clerical duties. Monitors all hospital alarms, performs code paging, and also provides patient information. Consistently delivers exceptional services to all callers.

Answers, screens, and extends calls to proper departments within 30 seconds by referencing information in the Medicall System according to HIPPA and BHSF policies

Handle bi-lingual language line requests according to BHSF Rules and Policies

Follow all IT Communication Services Policies and Procedures

Pages doctors, emergency situations, eg Code Blue, Fire, or Disaster drills, and authorized/non emergency announcement over intercom and through beeper system.

High School Diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience

Must have a minimum of one year customer service experience and basic computer knowledge

Associate of Arts Degree preferred
