The System Administrator will design, configure, troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize enterprise network information systems, to include physical and virtual servers, network storage, application and database servers, and backup and restore systems in the Production, Testing, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) environments..

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and configures networked servers, creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures functionality of links
  • Provide system administration of all server, storage, network interface and peripheral systems
  • Establishes disaster recovery plan and monitors site security
  • Monitors security updates and confirms system adherence to policies
  • Coordinates system administration and performance requirements with others
  • Identifies, analyzes and documents long-range requirements and schedules related to the enterprise network
  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Portal environments to ensure 24/7/365 availability
  • Implement system software changes and operating system releases
  • Coordinate with team to resolve hardware and/or software malfunctions
  • Implement policies regarding system access, network rights, physical access, system storage requirements
  • Design and modify system parameters on multiple systems, integrating Storage Area Networks (SAN) for maximum system efficiency
  • Identifies, analyzes, and recommend actions to resolve problems


  • 4 years in related experience
  • Certified or able to get certified on technical certification(s) required for position
  • Excellent analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as significant experience producing documents and presentations
  • Familiarity with federal government procurement processes
  • Advance proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources
  • Flexible with shifting priorities and timelines
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance
  • Ability to read, write and speak English


  • Bachelor's degree in discipline related to the primary responsibilities, or its equivalent. May substitute qualified technical training or education for one year of related experience
  • CompTIA Security+ce Certification
