Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Company's IT infrastructure and intellectual property. Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under limited supervision. Oversees the documentation, implementation and execution of the IT Policies according to City of Bryan needs and industry best practices. Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or similar field plus 4-6 years of related work experience; OR a Master's degree plus 2-4 years of related work experience; or a PhD plus 0-2 years of related work experience. - Experience with Windows Server OS and Active Directory. - Experience in backup systems, patch management and security utilities/systems. - Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices. Preferred: - Experience in firewalls, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) preferred - Experience with Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) signature development preferred - Security related certifications ie, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, etc. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, certification, and training will be considered.
