Cloud Migration Specialist (Contract)
Location: Johannesburg, Republiek van Suid-Afrika Country: South Africa
 

RED GLOBAL - Cloud Migration Specialist

RED, on behalf of a Leading Global partner, are currently searching for an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist within Mining.

Details:

Role: Cloud Migration Specialist

Location: On site in Johannesburg

Start: ASAP

Duration: initial till December 2024 + extension

Capacity: 5 days/week

Language: English

Rate: R - Dependant on experience

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with engineers and operational staff to assess existing OT systems and PLC's for cloud migration suitability.
* Design and implement the migration strategy for OT systems (including PLC's/SCADA) to cloud.
* Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on Cloud, ensuring security and compliance.
* Post-migration responsibilities.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with Cloud (PLC's and OT systems)
  • Cloud Migration Experience (Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and security protocols.)
  • Experience in Cloud Migration industrial control systems to new infrastructure.
  • Have worked in a mining environment (MANDATORY) - In-depth knowledge of mining processes and equipment.
